Junior Dental Assistants

Have you ever wondered what a Dental Assistant does? The Junior Dental Assistant program is a very popular summer program and a wonderful learning experience. Junior Dental Assistants have a chance to familiarize themselves with orthodontic procedures and with our practice.

Our program runs from June 18 through August 24, 2007. Examples of what our sterlization coordinator, Rosa Abitia will teach the patients are: how to make impressions and pour them into stone, how to change ties on study models, how to trim models, take digital pictures of patient’s teeth, and how to use the sterilization machine. Our patients will endure a very productive learning experience. Our patients will receive yellow cards to remind them to call in and schedule a 2 hour morning or afternoon slot.
